PART 1

" Laa, you're very slow, you know," Kaoru suddenly said as he watched Toshiya remove his make-up.

" Huh?" Toshiya glanced at the guitarist.

" Hurry up! I need to remove my make-up too and there's no place," he said, his hand waving at the taken-up mirrors. Kyo, Die and Shinya occupied one each and there were only four mirrors in the make-up room.

" Why don't you ask them to hurry up?"

" Cause they have just sat there but you- you have been occupying this mirror since half an hour ago!"

Toshiya grinned, nodded and went back to pour the cleansing solution onto a ball of cotton wool, dabbing the blusher off his cheeks with deliberate slowness to irritate his bandmate. It had always been scary to Toshiya to see the ever-so serious Kaoru annoyed but equally amusing as well.

However, Kaoru was not very patient today. With a quick swipe, he snatched the cotton ball from Toshiya's fingers, leaving him blinking at the sudden disappearance of the soft material.

" Turn around," he ordered as he pulled a nearby stool and sat on it.

" What?" Toshiya asked dumbly, unmoving.

" Turn around and face me, moron," Kaoru rolled his eyes.

--I'm surrounded by fools.--

Toshiya obeyed and shifted in his chair. Other members of DEG made passing remarks.

" Toshiya is making Kaoru angry again..."

" Doesn't he always?"

Toshiya's cheeks grew a tint of pink even as Kaoru began wiping the traces of make-up off his face. This made Kaoru frown deeper and started rubbing vigorously to remove what he thought was blusher on Toshiya's pale skin, making the younger man cry out and held his cheek as if it was in great pain.

" Hey, not so hard, okay?" 

Kaoru had to laugh at the expression on Toshiya's face. When he caught the look of annoyance on the bassist face, he apologized and continued dabbing the slightly wet cotton on the lids, causing Toshiya to close his eyes. 

Kaoru found himself thinking as he gently wiped off the glittery eye-shadow.

- How can a man be this pretty?-

His fingers lingered near Toshiya's skin a moment longer than necessary. 

- Damn, would he stop blushing? What's he blushing about anyway?-

Toshiya found himself looking straight into Kaoru's eyes when he opened them as the older man moved to clean the rest of his powder off. He could feel fresh blood rushing to his cheeks and he quickly lowered his eyes.

When Kaoru finished with Toshiya, he conveniently sat in front of the mirror and started working on removing his make-up, oblivious to the fact that he had practically pushed Toshiya off the seat.

" Kaoru-chan?"

" Nani?" Kaoru didn't bother to look at him.

" Thanks," Toshiya said as he hurried off.

If Kaoru had even glanced at Toshiya, he would have noticed that he was still blushing.
