Part 3
*
Toshiya woke up the next morning and smiled at how close
Kaoru held him, even in his sleep.
He gazed at into Kaoru's sleeping face lovingly, lightly trailing his
fingers down the pink-head's cheek and over his lips, careful to not wake
him. He kissed the guitarist and
slid out of the arms regretfully, wishing he could stay in them forever, but his
body needed relief, and a shower.
"How cruel of you."
Kaoru said.
"Eh?"
Toshiya smiled.
"But, Kaoru," he took Kaoru's hand and placed it on his chest, over his
heart, "it doesn't hurt as much here.
You let me feel safe, and warm, and loved." Kaoru wrapped his arms around Toshiya
and held him close.
"Toshiya…" Kaoru growled sexily into the bassist's
ear.
He looked overhead for a pink puff
of hair and saw one coming toward him when the light came over it. Damned blackout dance…he walked
toward the pink. Why do they
think we wanna dance in total dark?
Reaching where he saw the puff, he wrapped his arms around, slowly
kissing the neck.
The person turned around, glaring at
Toshiya. Toshiya gasped, memories
flooding back and tears welling in his eyes.
It was him!
Toshiya turned, attempting to run,
but his arm was grabbed and he cried out, unheard over the loud roar of the
club. Toshiya looked back and saw
another come up, grabbing his other arm.
"KAORU!!" He screamed
through his tears. He was slapped,
hard, before being drug out of the dance club, screaming for
Kaoru.
*
"Damn it!" Kaoru looked around for Toshiya, with no
luck. "Where is he?" Kaoru gritted his teeth, searching. Suddenly, he felt an urge to go
outside. He didn't want to leave,
as Toshiya had to be inside, but something told him to get out, and
quickly! He rushed through the
crowd and out the first door he got to.
He looked around.
Nothing.
Baka! You knew he wouldn't
be—
"KAORU!!" A loud slap echoed and Kaoru's heart
jumped with various emotions: fear, anger, concern, and anxiety. He ran to the sound, and saw a horrible
sight.
Toshiya, pressed up against a wall,
blood and tears running down his face, his skirt torn and shoved up to his
stomach, and another pink haired man violating him with his fingers. Toshiya was sobbing loudly and Kaoru
could hear him muttering Kaoru's name.
Kaoru grabbed a large block of wood
he saw on the ground, ran up, and hit the other pink haired over the head,
knocking him unconscious. Toshiya
fell over and Kaoru caught him, but another man came up, hitting Kaoru. Kaoru fell over with Toshiya in his
arms, quickly getting up and hitting the other.
His rage was so much that the man
toppled over, unable to breathe.
Kaoru lifted Toshiya up into his arms and he ran to the car. Kaoru drove back, in silence, as Toshiya
sobbed continually. They got into
the parking lot and sat there.
Kaoru moved his hand over, to touch
Toshiya's, but Toshiya shied away, staring at Kaoru with pained eyes. "You said you'd protect me." He hissed. "You said you'd help me
forget."
"Toshiya…"
More tears fell from Toshiya's
face. "Why did you lie to
me?"
"Toshiya! I saved you!"
"A little too late!" Toshiya brought his knees up to his
chest and hugged them, rocking back and forth slowly. "I've been tarnished by him… I called
out for you.. why didn't you come sooner?"
"Totchi! It was loud! I didn't hear you!"
Toshiya buried his face into his
arms. "And… and now you won't want
me…"
"Toshiya!"
"I'm no good for you anymore! I'm sorry!" Toshiya opened the door and ran
out.
*
Kaoru dashed out of the car,
following Toshiya. How can
he think that? Kaoru saw
Toshiya turn a corner, and he followed.
Doesn't he realize I don't care?
Doesn't he realize what he means to me? He looked both ways, wondering what way
Toshiya went in this new fork.
Listening, he heard crying in one corridor. Toshiya!! Don't cry! It hurts so much... you don't
realize how much it hurts! He
saw Toshiya leaning up against a wall, crying, and grabbed his arm. Toshiya twisted, trying to get
away.
"Let go!" Toshiya sobbed.
"Iie." Kaoru wrapped his arms around
Toshiya. "I'll never let you
go. I can never let you
go."
"I'm dirty—"
"No, you aren't. And even if you were, I'd never stop
stop loving you."
"Why didn't you protect
me?"
"I left to get drinks. Now, I can't let you out of my
sight. I can't risk
it."
Toshiya turned around and buried his
face into Kaoru's chest. "I was so
scared."
Kaoru stroked the younger man's
back, absorbing the pain and feeling the need to protect his beauty growing with
every tear that escaped his eyes.
*
Kaoru cleaned the last bit of blood
off of Toshiya, careful not to hurt him.
There weren't many bad wounds, like last time, but just small cuts. He then got into the tub with Toshiya,
pulling the other to his body and resting his pink head on the black one of
Toshiya's.
"Kaoru?"
"Hm?"
"Why do you love me?" Toshiya turned to face the
guitarist.
"Toshiya?"
"Why?" Toshiya's eyes were
pleading.
Kaoru smiled and brushed Toshiya's
cheek with his hand. "Well, you
always make me smile, you're fun to be with, you're a gifted musician, you're
beautiful, you're cute, and I don't mean those last two as JUST physically, you
occupy my thoughts every waking moment."
He lightly kissed Toshiya's lips.
"There's so much, but I tried summarizing, you know, as it'd take
forever…"
Toshiya nodded and rested into
Kaoru, taking in the scent of the other man. "Kaoru, don't ever leave
me…"
Kaoru hugged Toshiya even
tighter. "I'd never!" They stayed like that until the water
went cool and they got out, drying each other off and not even bothering to
dress before going to bed and falling asleep, safe and warm in each other's
arms.
