Blue. The bathroom walls were blue, blue, blue, the same blue as a summer night sky. Idle fingers traced the white bathroom tiles, immaculate in the harsh flourescent light. The polished silver of the tap sparkled like tiny bursts of energy.

My eyes stay focused on the bathroom mirror with its gothic frame as my fingers wandered away from the tiles to the buttons of my white, flowery blouse. The buttons unclasped one by one under my ministration, revealing a pale column of skin from my throat to my belly button. I fixed my gaze on that patch of exposed skin in the mirror, obsessed with its silken texture and tautness. Innocent, wandering fingers lingered its way up and around my left nipple, enticing the little nub of flesh. A delicious ripple crawled up my spine as I recall the last time I covered them with a small bra, stuffing them with cotton. Teasing myself, I let my fingers travel up less sensitive regions, up my throat to the flap of my earlobe, poking at the sliver loops, causing them to twinkle in the light.

With a sudden jerk, I clench my throat in my hand, a hand which didn't look like it belonged with the rest of my body. My hands were all knuckles and thick veins and knobby wrists; men's hands. My heart fills with revulsion as I look at them. I can pretend it's not my hand if I let its hold tighten around my throat, cutting off the air supply for just a couple of minutes...
